Visit states

The following diagram displays the various states of a unit facility visit:

A visit state identifies:

A unit in the Advised state is not visible in XPS.

A unit in the Active state is visible in XPS.

A unit cannot exist in the Active state for more than one facility within a complex. However, a unit can exist in the Active state in more than one complex for an operator.

The unit is not located at the facility and is not visible in XPS.

For example, when you stuff an empty unit, N4 retires the unit and creates a new full unit. Similarly, if you attach or bundle a unit to another primary unit, N4 retires the attached unit.

N4 also uses the same states for the State (Master) states of a unit, but for a complex instead of a facility. For example, an Advised master state is for a unit that is incoming but not certain to arrive at a complex.
